Refine the blueprints

  • build the structures

Thoughts:

  • architecture, not implementation
    • this is one of the places that it looks like startupweekend falls down- they are focused on implementation
      • If we attempt to "build each others' barns", it's likely only a few people can help with each idea (entrepreneurs may not be experts on every person's problems). Therefore, we should not attempt to solve implementation details.
    • don't spend time in the lower level details- work on the business, not in it

On the Sunday meeting- talk about what can be done in the event... don't talk about the details of the event.

Culture that starts in this meeting Kevin defines how the meeting is run, which will establish a culture which can permeate into the enterpriseTribe board. For example, every person who attends the meeting should be expected to:

  1. Introduce their novel idea briefly
  2. Discuss the business plan and revenue model
  3. State their top N (5?) problems that are currently road blocks or holding them up from achieving their potential profits.
